Small changes can have a big impact.  Individuals and businesses can become Local Heroes by making one of our pledges.  It all starts with a change in thinking: Buy Local - Benefit Local.

If households spent €4 more a week on Guaranteed Irish goods and services, it could result in 6,000 extra jobs (source: Amarach Research).  How much of the price of that Christmas present is going out of the country?  Could more people in your local community benefit from your shopping choices?  The gift of a restaurant voucher, for example, could support dozens of local jobs.

Holidaying at home is another very practical way you can have an impact on jobs, locally and nationally.  If €500 million of the €6.1 billion we spend each year on foreign holidays was diverted into Irish trips there could be a jobs gain of 18,000 (source: Failte Ireland).
