The much awaited Drogheda & District Business Excellence Awards 2008/9 launched on Monday 1st September in the d Hotel.
Patricia Rooney President of the Drogheda & District Chamber and Padraig Warren Chair of the Judging Panel were on hand to launch the new-look Awards.
This years Business Excellence Awards has two new categories, Best Established Business to acknowledge all the longstanding businesses that have helped develop Drogheda into the thriving town it is today and an Internet and ICT Award.
There will be a special focus on the sponsors this year – a short video giving an overview of each sponsors business will be aired during the Novembers Awards Gala. Sponsors will also arrive at this years event in style being picked up and dropped home in chauffer driven limousines.
Having run for a number of years the Awards is now firmly established as the main Drogheda business event of the year and attracts a significant number of nominations from Drogheda and its environs. The awards recognise excellence throughout the business community and encourage business and enterprise in the greater Drogheda area.
The Awards are now officially open and businesses can download application forms from the Chamber website. Closing date for completed application forms is Friday 3rd October at 5pm.
It is important to note that the Awards are open to all businesses both Chamber members and non-members. We would encourage all businesses to nominate themselves for one of ten categories
