National Employment Rights Authority (NERA) provides information to employees and employers through its information unit, monitors employment conditions through its inspection services and can enforce compliance and seek redress.

Drogheda and District Chamber would like to alert you to the NERA services that are available to Employers:-

  1. The NERA lo-call information line (1890 80 80 90) provides information to over 600 callers per day on all aspects of statutory employment legislation. Over 40% of our queries are from employers.
  2. The NERA website is a comprehensive source of employment rights information, with customised areas where relevant information to both employers and employees can be accessed
  3. NERA publishes information brochures on various aspects of employments rights and produces a Quarterly Update for stakeholders (a copy of NERA Review of  2008 is attached to this email for your information). An e-subscription service to automatically receive the NERA Quarterly Update can be accessed by clicking here.
  4. NERA also promotes awareness of employment rights through participation in exhibitions, training events and by providing presentations on aspects of employment legislation to interested parties and representative organisations.
