RTE & Animo Productions are delighted to have the pleasure of being associated with this new award. In keeping with the ‘Local Heroes – A town fights back’ series we are currently filming. The award seeks to recognise one individual who through their actions and commitment to the town of Drogheda has behaved heroically for the benefit of the town.

That person may be someone who has been creating and expanding local businesses bringing direct benefit of local employment and economic gain into the community. Someone who has worked for the community on a voluntary basis and thereby brought much needed social benefit to Drogheda. This might be a person whom by example has shown an extraordinary commitment to the town and its people.

A person who has broadly contributed to so many aspects of each and or all of those types of heroic attainments that they cannot be singled out but deserve recognition.

Any individual may nominate themselves for this award and equally any other individual may wish to nominate such a HERO.

This is your town so we want to know who you think are your HEROES. If you know someone who fits any of these descriptions please tell us.
