NEW CATEGORISATION FOR HEALTH AND WELLNESS SECTOR

Designed to help consumers better understand the variety of offering in Ireland

 

Tuesday 15th April 2008:  Fáilte Ireland, the national tourism development authority, has today launched a new categorisation system for the health and wellness sector in Ireland.  72 properties have been categorised under the new system which will help existing and prospective customers to better understand the variety of health and wellness offerings available to them.  Ireland is the first country in Europe to launch such a complete categorisation……

NEW CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM LAUNCHED FOR INDIVIDUAL SELF CATERING PROPERTIES
Fáilte Ireland, the national tourism development authority, today launched details of a new classification system for individual self catering properties.  The new system, which has been developed in close consultation with the industry groups over recent months, features star rating classification and online application and assessment.

GRAND FINAL COOK-OFF OF FAILTE IRELAND RECIPE COMPETITION
Six recipes have reached the final of a Lakelands & Inland Waterways Recipe Competition developed by Fáilte Ireland.  The competition is part of the Lakeland and Inland Waterways Initiative which is designed to develop and market tourism along the waterways of the inland counties of Ireland.  The finalists will compete for the overall prize in a Grand Final Cook-Off which will take place on Thursday, April 17th in Athlone Institute of Technology.

During the summer months the Drogheda Chamber were hosts to a student of the Le Havre Technology Institute, a branch of Le Havre University in Normandy, France. Abdoullahi Diop joined us for the concluding part of his course, a 10-week work placement in an English-speaking country.
