Continuing our “Connect 4 Lunch” series of events we are delighted to invite you to attend the next event on Tuesday 20th April at 12.30pm in Bru Bar & Bistro.
This month’s theme is “Demystifying Health & Safety”.
This address will be of interest to health & safety officers, managing directors, operational managers and any person responsible for Health & Safety in the workplace .
Anne Marie is the lead Occupational Health Advisor and the managing director of HealthForce Ltd. Established in 2005, HealthForce Ltd specialises within the field of occupational health and safety which offer their clients a multi-disciplinary approach to occupational health and wellbeing. Their safety specialists include safety officers from various sectors, Quality Assurance specialists, quality control specialists and also auditing and risk management consultants.
Speaker Profile
Anne Marie has spent time in the A&E and neuro science field of nursing, working in head and spinal injury units in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin and Charing Cross Hospital, London, a major UK referral centre. She graduated with BSc (Hons) in Health Studies from the Royal College of Nursing, London and from this progressed in to the area of Occupational Health and Safety, leading to further qualifications in this area.
Anne Marie has worked in both the service provider and the industrial sector of occupational health and safety for the past 8 years. She has worked for larger National Occupational Health and Safety Service providers both in the UK (e.g. BUPA) and in Ireland, such as VHI as well as 2 smaller providers which were based in Dublin.
Her work with BUPA saw her responsible for the management and delivery of contracts in the transport and engineering side of BUPA’s client profile, e.g. GNER, EWS, Railtrack and Balfour Beatty. With VHI her main role was in the management of OH contracts and services within computer/technology side of VHI’s client profile. She has also worked in a number of multinational companies whilst working with VHI including companies such as Hertz and Coca Cola.
Anne Marie has been involved in the teaching and training area of occupational health. She has been lecturing in Dublin City University on the Bachelor of Nursing Studies Program and in Marino CDVEC on the Fetac Module, Safety and Health at Work, Level 5 on a part time basis for the past 4 years.
